AANWP/ANWPB Accreditation Program Policy

Definition:

AANWP Accreditation is an application process and once approved, graduates are pre-qualified to apply for ONLY AANWP Board Certification titles.  CEU approved provider.

ANWPB is invitation-only and can only be considered after AANWP accreditation has been approved.  This accreditation allows graduates to apply for AANWP titles and/or sit for the ANWPB exam.  CEU approved provider.

Eligibility
Accreditation is voluntary and granted to schools, programs, courses, etc. that demonstrate a comprehensive natural, holistic process with relevant high-quality subject(s) and clearly defined objectives.

Purpose
The purpose of this page is to articulate the policies and procedures that govern AANWP/ANWPB accredited programs to ensure affiliated educational offerings convey consistency and utmost quality within the industry.

Scope
Organizations seeking accreditation are responsible to clearly demonstrate compliance with all applicable AANWP/ANWPB policies and criteria prior to, during and after official accreditation. This policy establishes binding guidelines to ensure appropriate conduct of all AANWP/ANWPB accredited programs before and after accreditation has been granted.

Good Faith
AANWP/ANWPB requires each organization seeking program accreditation, or currently holding an accredited program, to engage in the process in good faith. Programs must provide accurate and truthful information prior to and throughout the accreditation process. Any program that fails to participate in good faith by falsifying information presented in the accreditation process or at any time prior may be subject to punitive measures at AANWP/ANWPB’s discretion.

For the purpose of this requirement, falsification is defined as the fabrication, in whole or in part, and through commission or omission, of any information provided by an organization to AANWP/ANWPB. This includes but is not limited to providing false or misleading data related to accreditation status; providing false or misleading program information; providing false or misleading outcomes data; providing false or misleading information in an effort to receive a postponement or an extension on an accreditation action; forging signatures of authorization; or engaging in any false or misleading advertising with respect to the accreditation status.

Program
A course of study or combination of instructional material that may be broad in scope but follows a logical instructional sequence that promotes education as defined by AANWP/ANWPB. The material has met the requirements of AANWP/ANWPB, which is represented externally as official accreditation.

Code of Conduct
1. Practice respective professions following accepted industry standards and guidelines.
2. Exercise caution not to misrepresent their credentials, training or experience.
3. Deal responsibly in advising parties regarding potential risks related to their fields of expertise.
4. Maintain confidentiality concerning both personal and business information gathered in the performance of their professions, except in the case of overriding legal and/or health concerns.
5. Avoid instances where conflict of interest or compromise of professional judgment may occur.
6. Act with integrity to uphold the standards of their profession and of the Organization and avoid any conduct that could adversely reflect on the Organization and its certificants.

Fraud
Misrepresentation by omission or commission found in any material submitted to AANWP/ANWPB will result in immediate revocation of the program’s application or accreditation status at the discretion of AANWP/ANWPB.

Organization
* It is incumbent on organizations to ensure that all accredited programs are bound to the AANWP/ANWPB Code of Conduct regardless of membership or credential. If an individual(s) breaches the Code, it is compulsory that the organization take action to remedy the situation. If negligence is found, AANWP/ANWPB reserves the right to take corrective measures against the parties involved.

* If AANWP/ANWPB staff discovers negligence on behalf of the organization or individual(s) involved in the AANWP/ANWPB accredited program, AANWP/ANWPB reserves the right to revoke the program’s accreditation. AANWP/ANWPB reserves the right to take remedial punitive actions against the parties involved at their discretion and outcomes will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

* Organizations that have an AANWP/ANWPB accredited program (educational offering) are obligated by virtue of the AANWP/ANWPB accreditation received, to be in full compliance with the AANWP/ANWPB Code of Conduct.

* AANWP/ANWPB accredited programs are non-state/federally regulated.

External reference to AANWP/ANWPB (one or both)

* The standalone ‘AANWP/ANWPB’ acronym may be utilized when stating a specific program’s accreditation, an individual’s affiliation with AANWP/ANWPB, or when describing AANWP/ANWPB as an entity; all of which must be crafted in a way that clearly conveys AANWP/ANWPB’s role in the industry in a factual manner. This applies to all marketing material in which an affiliation is stated or implied, including Google ad words.

Acceptable: “We offer an accredited AANWP/ANWPB training program which will meet the educational requirements for an AANWP/ANWPB Board Certification.”

Unacceptable: “We offer AANWP/ANWPB Board Certification Courses.”

* Organization’s or the educational offerings within them are not permitted to use AANWP/ANWPB trademarks or any language that conveys a direct or implied affiliation with AANWP/ANWPB in a program name, course title, organization name, etc…This practice contributes to market confusion and has the potential to mislead the public who are not privy to the nuances of the AANWP/ANWPB accreditation system, therefore, it is prohibited. AANWP/ANWPB staff has the latitude to determine what conveys ‘implied affiliation.’
* AANWP/ANWPB’s intellectual property (IP) is required to be adequately cited in all material that is provided to the public (i.e. marketing, website, curriculum, course work, etc.).
* AANWP/ANWPB accredits specific educational offerings (i.e. a course’s curriculum); it is incumbent on the organization to clearly convey that relationship to the public. Organizations themselves are never given an ‘overall’ accreditation by AANWP/ANWPB. Implying such an affiliation is considered intentional misrepresentation and subsequently an AANWP/ANWPB Code of Conduct violation.
* Prior to accreditation, AANWP/ANWPB defines the application process to start once the full application has been submitted online. Making any claim contrary to this, will be considered intentional misrepresentation and subsequently an AANWP/ANWPB Code of Conduct violation.

AANWP/ANWPB Program Logo Usage

* AANWP/ANWPB accredits curriculum of specific courses/programs AND organizations/schools.
* If an organization is found to have deliberately misappropriated any AANWP/ANWPB logo, AANWP/ANWPB holds the right to revoke or suspend the program’s accreditation and remove listing from Holistic Health Link directory.
* This includes prematurely displaying program logos before an accreditation has been awarded by AANWP/ANWPB. Programs may only reference an AANWP/ANWPB Accreditation in their marketing information, website or materials after it has been officially granted by the AANWP/ANWPB. Because submission of an application does not guarantee the program will be granted an AANWP/ANWPB Accreditation, referencing an AANWP/ANWPB Accreditation prior to official receipt is misleading and potentially unethical. Making a false claim is a breach of the AANWP/ANWPB Code of Ethics.
* Accredited programs/schools, etc…can use the AANWP/ANWPB Member logo/emblem (if in good standing as an AANWP/ANWPB Member) on marketing materials -found on the respective member dashboard.
* Accredited programs/schools will have a dedicated listing on the Holistic Health Link directory.
* Graduates of an Accredited school/program are pre-qualified for AANWP and/or ANWPB Board Certification.

Distribution of Accredited Courses

* AANWP/ANWPB accredited courses may be offered in one or multiple physical locations or online by the organization. If the accredited program has a ‘partnership’ with a third party (secondary organization, that is physically or virtually hosting the training), the organization’s “headquarters” must be the entity that distributes the program to affiliates and administers certificates of completion to the cohorts.

Operational Standards

The following operational standard must be met by all programs, when promoting the program to potential learners. Should any of the below standards not be met by the training organization, or if AANWP/ANWPB determines that there is not sufficient support to determine compliance with any of these criteria, the application will be denied, and the contact person listed in the application will be notified.

* How the program is delivered (e.g. face-to-face, webinar, telephonic, combination)
* Intended participants
* Policies on payment of tuition and fees
* Policies on withdrawals and refunds

Should any of the following standards be found as “non-compliant” or if AANWP/ANWPB determines that there is not sufficient support to determine compliance with any of these standards the accreditation will be denied or revoked and the contact person will be notified.

In order for the accredited program to remain in good standing with AANWP/ANWPB, the annual payment must be made on time. If the annual subscription payment fails, the school will be removed from Holistic Health Link as an AANWP/ANWPB accredited school.

Unethical Behavior
The AANWP/ANWPB accreditation team has the latitude to suspend, revoke, or deny an application based on previous behavior of a ‘program’ or individuals integral to the program’s operations. Instances of unethical or questionable behavior prior to a program’s submission (for accreditation by AANWP/ANWPB) can be a legitimate barrier to the application process itself and subsequent accreditation.

COMPLAINTS & DISCIPLINARY POLICY

In the event a certificant violates the AANWP/ANWPB Code of Conduct, certification program rules, requirements, and/or policies, AANWP/ANWPB may reprimand or suspend the individual or may revoke accreditation.  Within thirty (30) days from receipt of notice of a determination by AANWP/ANWPB that a certificant violated the program policies and/or rules, the affected certificant may submit an appeal to info@aanwp.com. The Appeals Committee conducts and completes the appeal within 90 days after receipt of the request for an appeal.
